Fashionista Part 1

Winter Ensemble
Because winter fashion doesn’t have to be boring!

Winter outfit doesn’t have to be your typical boring black everything.  Just by adding one lighter color to your get-up can make your otherwise gloomy day brighter.
I have put together an ensemble that one may wear on any day and with few changes could be a good candidate for a night out get-up.

This light heather grey tee (above; right) is a good underclothing to go with the falcon grey V-neck Dolman Tee (above; left).  Although, the two colors are both from grey family, heather grey is so much lighter that the combination takes away the monotony.  The oversized fit of the Dolman Tee exudes effortless chic and hides some of the baby fats around the midsection.   Both are soft materials which makes them very comfortable to wear.

This shawl-collar cardigan sweater from Victoria’s Secret (above) will keep you warm and fashionable at the same time.  Its feather soft feel gives that comfort and warmth you’re looking for.  Its ribbed shawl collar is a good detail which adds a genteel taste to it.

You can keep your legs covered during winter season but still show-off those sexy slender legs.  I picked a pair of dark wash skinny jeans because they make our legs look skinnier and long which is what you’d want.    The fading and whiskering through the thighs adds style.  This pair from A&F is made out of 98% cotton and 2% spandex.
To finish off the whole ensemble, I picked 3 different styles of boots.  The first picture shows the Born Women’s Chylar bootie.  It gives the outfit the casual day look while keeping an upscale style.  From the “day” look, a few tweaks like changing the pair of boots could transform the whole get-up to evening date ready.  The second one is from the Ralf Lauren Collection.  It’s the women’s Heila Boot made out of the finest Italian leather.  The style is clean, sleek, and elegant.  But if you are not willing to pay big bucks for a pair of boots, this Audrey Brooke Kylei Boots could be your other choice.

Here are the side-by-side pictures of all the pieces.

So there you go.  I hope you had fun going putting together a winter outfit with me.  But just remember, our clothing doesn’t have to be expensive to make us feel good or look good.  Nowadays, there are a lot of shops you can go to and buy designer clothes for a more affordable price.  So be a smart shopper. See you next time!
